The pizza people come home for...

Dan and I took Cecilia to Adornetto's for the first time over the weekend.  Adornetto's always brings back such fun memories growing up in Zanesville.  After dinner, we took Cecilia to the St. Thomas Festival for our first festival of the summer.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!  Dan and Cecilia made my first Mother's Day one to remember.  It was such a beautiful day and I am so happy to have such a wonderful family.  

Cecilia, also, turned nine months old this weekend.  Where has the time gone?  She is starting to crawl and move around.  She is standing up very well.  She gave me a wonderful Mother's Day gift...she finally said "mama" this past week.  What a sweet sound it is to hear your baby say "mama" for the first time.

After a day at school...

When I dropped Cecilia off at daycare she was wearing a matching outfit...

...and when I picked her up she was wearing this!  A pink and white polka dot shirt with red and white pants.

She didn't seem to mind.  In fact, she was all smiles! 

Not only did her outfit not match, she had food all over her face...this maybe the clue as to what happened to her pants.  She has sweet potatoes on her cheeks and up her nose...

...and on top of her nose! 

Daycare is so much fun!  No wonder Cecilia loves to go so much!  It is much more fun than at home. :) 

Cecilia's First Easter

Cecilia's first Easter was such a beautiful day!  The sun was shining and she loved every minute of the day.  The Easter Bunny even dropped by with a basket full of books!  Cecilia's favorite Easter gift of the day was her singing & dancing bunny from Great Grandma.  She laughs and dances along with him!  I realize that I did not take very many pictures but here are a few.

Cecilia and Mama went to visit Nana Tess today.  We enjoyed lunch together and then Nana wanted to take Ceci's picture.  Ceci smiled big and Nana snapped away!

Spring!!!

Spring is here!  Hopefully it plans to stay.  Cecilia enjoyed the warm weather this week and sat in the yard for the first time.  It did not take her long to find the grass...and then she tried to eat it! Thankfully, I was able to stop her before she did.  Please note that it is 70 degrees outside but she is wearing her winter hat...I have turned into my Grandma! :)

A trip to DC

Dan had a conference in DC last weekend so Cecilia and I tagged along.  It was a short trip but a fun one!  Cecilia was an excellent traveler.  She slept and played on the long drive.  We only got to see a few sights so we will have to make a return trip when it gets warmer.  Nana and Papaw Wilson went with us and baby sat Cecilia while Dan and I went to dinner.  

Cecilia got to meet Craig and Jon, two really great friends.  She gave Craig a lot of "kisses" and hugs right away.  It was wonderful to see these friends - it has been too long!
