Cecilia's Baptism

Cecilia was baptized on November 8th at our local church, Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  After months of campaigning, it was so nice to have our family over to celebrate Ceci's big day and Dan's victory.

Our little angel!  She wore cousin Kaitlyn and Sophia's gown.  We planned to use the gown that Dan was baptized in.  It is a 100 year old gown that belonged to his Grandmother.  At the last minute we decided it was too fragile to use.  For those of you who have yet to meet Ceci, she loves to move and is constantly kicking her legs.

Lil Pumpkins!

We decided that Cecilia had to have a costume for Halloween and what better than to dress her up as a pumpkin!  She and Oliver helped us hand out candy for Trick or Treat...well she mostly slept and Oliver ate a lot of leaves.  Maybe they will be more helpful next year!

Two Months Old

We have been so busy since the last post so there is much to blog!  The entire family has been busy with Dan' re-election...only three weeks left!  We appreciate everyone's support - we could not do it without our family and friends.

Cecilia turned two months old on Thursday.  She went for her checkup the next day.  She weighs 12 lbs 12 oz which is close to the 90th percentile for babies her age and is 24 inches which is exactly the 90th percentile.  The doctor was almost giddy at this!  I am breastfeeding exlusively and as any mom who is doing or has done the same, you know the relief at knowing your baby is getting enough food.

Boppy Time

Cecilia turned seven weeks on Saturday.  It is amazing how much she is changing and growing each week.  She is reaching new milestones all the time!  In fact, this weekend she rolled over for the first time.  I thought she was getting close last week but thought it was way too soon.  On Sunday morning she did it!  Dan and I were not there to see it...we spent our first night away from her.  But Nana Tess was there to witness it.  Of course, I cannot get her to do it again... :)

Five Generations

Over the weekend Cecilia met her Great, Great Grandfather for the first time.  That's right - Great, Great!  It is so special!  Below are some pictures of the five generations.  They include my Mom (Tessie), Grandma (Charlene), Great Grandpa Wright, Cecilia and me.  

One month later...

It's hard to believe that it's been a month since Cecilia entered our life.  Believe it or not, the time has gone by so quickly.  The past month has without a doubt been challenging but, also, so rewarding! Dan and I can't remember life without her.  

Ceci had her one month check up this morning.  She weighed a little over 10 lbs and was 22.5 inches.  The doctor was very pleased with her weight gain.  Finally we are getting the feeding thing down!  

The three of us look forward to the next month!
